We handle the rest.

Practical IT and cybersecurity built for founders, not IT departments. intrasec takes ownership of your technology so you can spend your time where it actually matters.

// The reality

You didn't start a company to manage software vendors.

Most early-stage founders piece together their technology the same way: a cousin sets up the laptops, someone forwards work email through a personal Gmail, and a SaaS tool gets added every time a new problem surfaces. It works, until it doesn't.

The gaps that get ignored in year one become the breaches, outages, and compliance failures that surface in year three. By the time the damage shows up, it's expensive to fix and hard to explain to clients, investors, or regulators.

intrasec exists to close those gaps early, before they cost you a deal, a client, or your reputation.

I knew we had IT problems. I just didn't know how serious they were until intrasec showed me.

// intrasec client, Toronto
  • No IT background required
  • Plain-language explanations, always
  • We work around your schedule, not ours
  • No bloated retainers or platform lock-in
  • Built for Canadian businesses and regulations
// Common challenges

The IT problems founders run into, and how we solve them.

You don't need to understand firewalls to run a great company. But you do need someone who does.

// Risk & Visibility

The risks you don't know exist

Cybersecurity feels like a problem for later, until a phishing email drains your account or a breach destroys a client relationship. Most founders don't discover they were vulnerable until after the damage is done.

  • Baseline risk assessment in plain language
  • Continuous monitoring before threats escalate
  • Clear picture of your exposure, no jargon
// Operations

A fragmented tech stack nobody owns

You've signed up for a dozen SaaS tools and asked different people to manage different pieces. When something breaks, nobody owns it.

  • Single point of contact for your entire environment
  • Proactive maintenance
  • Structured onboarding & offboarding
// Compliance

Regulatory and privacy exposure

PIPEDA and Québec's Law 25 require you to protect personal data. Most founders have no idea whether their setup meets any standard.

  • Mapping where your data goes
  • Policy templates for Canadian requirements
  • Documented answers for clients and auditors
// Device Security

Remote teams and unmanaged devices

Your team works from coffee shops, home offices, and co-working spaces. Every unmanaged device and unsecured Wi-Fi connection is an open door into your business. You're trusting people to be careful. They're not always careful.

  • Device management across your entire team
  • Multi-factor authentication enforced across all accounts
  • Remote wipe if a device is lost or stolen
// Resilience

No backup plan for when things go wrong

One ransomware attack, one corrupt database, one flooded server room. You could be down for days with no way to recover. Most founders haven't tested whether their backups actually work.

  • Automated, encrypted backups to secure offsite locations
  • Recovery procedures tested and documented
  • Incident response plan your team can actually follow
// Growth

Enterprise clients asking about your cybersecurity

You land a great prospect, then their procurement team sends a 40-page cybersecurity questionnaire. Without a documented cybersecurity program, deals stall or die.

  • SOC 2 and ISO 27001 readiness support
  • Cybersecurity questionnaire responses prepared for you
  • A documented program that helps close deals, not kill them
// Our approach

We meet you where you are. No rip and replace.

You've already made decisions: tools you rely on, a team with habits, a budget that has to stretch. We work with what you have and make it more secure, more reliable, and easier to manage.

01

Start with a conversation

We start by listening. Tell us how your business runs, what tools your team uses, and what's been bothering you about the tech side of things. No forms to fill out, no jargon required. Just a straight conversation.

02

A clear picture, fast

Within days, not weeks, you'll have a plain-language picture of where you stand: what's working, what's putting the business at risk, and what to tackle first. No 60-page reports nobody reads.

03

We fix what matters, in the right order

We prioritise by impact and effort. The highest-risk gaps get closed first. Then we build the foundation that keeps your business protected as you grow.

04

Ongoing partnership

Whether you need us every day or just a few hours a month, we're available when you need us, and proactively looking out for your business when you don't. One team, one number, everything covered.

// Common questions

Questions we hear a lot.

What stage of company is Founder Support for?

Early stage: before you have an IT department, an office manager who "does computers," or time to think about any of this. If technology is something you deal with at 11pm, this is for you.

I don't have an IT background. Is that a problem?

No, that's the point. Everything is explained in plain language, and we take ownership of the technology so you don't have to become an expert to make good decisions.

I'm technical myself. Do I still need this?

Being able to do it and having time to do it are different things. Founders who can configure everything themselves usually shouldn't be spending their hours on patching, backups, and vendor management. We take it off your plate and you stay in control of the decisions.

What do you set up first?

The gaps that hurt most when ignored: email security, device management, MFA, working backups, and knowing who has access to what. We start with a plain-language risk assessment so the order is based on your actual exposure, not a generic checklist.

How is this different from hiring an IT provider?

Most providers are built for companies that already have structure. Founder Support is built for the stage before that: practical essentials, your schedule, no bloated retainers, and it grows into advisory and project work when you do.

What does it cost?

Scoped to what you actually need at your stage, and agreed before we start. No retainers, no platform lock-in, no minimums. If your needs change and the scope has to change with them, you'll hear it from us first and approve it before anything moves.

Do you work with founders outside Toronto?

Yes. We're Toronto-based, but we work with founders across Canada, and almost everything at this stage can be done remotely.
